1. What we collect
Account details (name, email, phone), profile information, parcels and trips you post, messages you send on the platform, and — when you verify — identity documents (Ghana Card, selfie, and for transporters licence/vehicle photos).
2. How we use it
To run the marketplace: matching senders and transporters, showing ratings and verification, enabling chat and live delivery tracking, and keeping the network safe.
3. Identity documents
Your Ghana Card number is stored encrypted and is never shown on your public profile. Verification photos are kept in private storage and are only accessible to our verification team.
4. Location
When a transporter chooses to share their live location during a delivery, the sender (and the recipient via the tracking code) can see it. Sharing stops when the delivery ends.
5. Who can see what
Your name, photo, rating and verification status are public. Your phone number is only revealed to the other party once a deal is agreed.
6. Your choices & your rights
You can edit your profile, change your email or password, and request account deletion at any time from Settings. Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, port or erase your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data-protection authority).
7. Data controller & contact
The data controller is Caisse Continentale Afrique, a French non-profit association (association loi 1901), registered office 18 Rue Victor Hugo, 45120 Châlette-sur-Loing, France (SIREN 848 676 136). For any privacy request, contact us through in-app support or at contact@africanpost.fr.
